A FACTT opens call for participation Flow Cytomtery Workshop in Berlin

From 8-10 July 2015 for advanced PhD/ early postdoc/ scientist or clinician with an interest in standardizing flow cytometry (e.g. for clinical trial immune monitoring) and/ or analyzing large scale multidimensional data sets.

At the premises of the Institute of Medical Immunology, Charite University Medicine, Berlin, the AFACTT project will organize a Flow Cytometry Workshop especially intended for our targetgroup Advanced PhD / early postdoc / scientist or clinician with an interest in standardizing flow cytometry (e.g. for clinical trial immune monitoring) and/ or analyzing large scale multidimensional data sets.

The workshop shall address the following topics:

  • () Overview on clinical trial design including immune monitoring and its standardization;
  • () design of flow cytometry panels, performance of surface and intracellular staining, cytometer set-up;
  • () leukocyte subset gating;
  • () introduction and use of bioinformatics tools for analysis and interpretation of multi-dimensional flow data (plus social and scientific interactive events)

Requirements:
Member of our targetgroup and experiences in flow cytometry are desirable. (and please bring your own lap-top!)
